Why did you pick engineering? I knew I loved Calculus so, as a High School student, I figured I would just study math. Thankfully, my parents encouraged me to look at Industrial Engineering and it was a perfect fit. I honestly cannot see myself doing anything differently. I love looking at processes and efficiencies in everything I do!
Your favorite thing about SWE: The people and opportunities! I have met great friends through SWE that I look up to. As a new graduate, my section provided invaluable mentor relationships and helped shape the leader I am today. I encourage all young engineers to continue their SWE membership to take advantage of these opportunities.
Main Goal for FY21: Continue the great work of the LCC! I want to help empower our coaches to support our Sections and Affiliates to further the SWE mission. Our theme for this year is connection - I want to encourage connection across our teams, from our coaches to their assigned sections, and from our committee to the larger Society.

Engineering it's a quite specific niche for the young lady. I always think that it's mostly men's work. But it's so nice to read about the inspiration and about passion for that work. Interesting interview, thanks.
