My name is Rachael Knapp and I am a Product Engineer at Newell Brands. I moved to Atlanta, Georgia after graduating from Ohio State University in 2018. My involvement with the Ohio State SWE Section was incredibly influential to my professional and personal growth. After graduating, I knew that I wanted to continue to be involved with the organization. Two of my friends from college, Kelsey Riffle and Claire Penrose, were already serving as LCC Coaches and encouraged me to pursue this opportunity. The LCC trainings have covered Bylaws, Branding, Diversity and Inclusion, and Finance. I have especially enjoyed the discussions about how each section will have different constraints and goals and how LCC Coaches can gain empathy for each section. I am looking forward to working closely with the sections and getting to know the LCC community!
