I finally realized the faster you get your work done does not mean you will have less work. People will always find new things for you to do, so I had to decide, “How late am I willing to work each day?” Even if I do not complete my target goal of things to do, my tasks will be waiting for me the next day. I am still guilty of occasionally logging on to my computer after work, but I have decided to create healthier boundaries to maintain my health and sanity. This decision has not only lifted a huge weight off my chest, but has also made work more enjoyable in the long run.
